Olivia Kalikin and William Epps fill up the peanut butter and butter bowls prior to breakfast.
It was one of the largest breakfast crowds Anna’s Kindness volunteers had ever served at St. Andrews. But it was no problem for the Clague Middle School students who joined Anna’s Kindness Saturday morning.
Six Clague students, including five 6th graders, helped serve grits, oatmeal, desserts, juice, and coffee to over 120 guests who showed up at 7:30 a.m. at The Breakfast at St. Andrews.
Olivia Kalikin and Evers Baskey served oatmeal and grits, Anthony Fan passed out desserts, Ashe Baskey and William Epps poured out guava and apple juice, and Xingzhi Tan washed the dirty dishes and cups.
And when the meal service ended at 8:30 a.m., the students cleaned up the kitchen and the dining room, and helped Xingzhi tackle the onslaught of dirty dishes.
Thank you to Bill, who helped direct the students, and Kate for her assistance.
