Just because an Anna’s Kindness volunteer event is cancelled, doesn’t mean kindness is cancelled.
The Gilbert Residence had to unexpectedly cancel an Anna’s Kindness St. Patrick’s Day volunteer activity due to illness at their nursing home on Saturday. But that didn’t stop Anna’s Kindness volunteers from gathering at a local library to create fabulous St. Patrick’s Day cards for the residents.
Anna’s Kindness volunteers from Forsythe and Clague middle schools Kriya, Grieta, Riley, Celia (and mom Helen), and Madeline designed some terrific leprechauns, shamrocks, and other St. Patrick’s icons thanks to a lot of creative talent, and just a dash of glitter.
Anna’s mom Fran, who hosted the event, gathered up all the works of art and will take them to the nursing home to be handed out to the residents.
