Great weather, great time for Forsythe students (and foster dogs)

October 19, 2019
Sophia Ricci, Ella Ricci, Sydney Sawyer (with Bella), Ivy Ball, Sarina Thomas, Olivia Haft, Norah LeCloux, and Cameron Cook (with Marcus and his tongue)

Eight Forsythe Middle School students had a great morning walking, running, and playing with the dogs at Mikey & Me’s foster dog facility in Chelsea Saturday.

The four dogs absolutely loved the attention from the kids as well as the walks and the off-leash time in the play area.

The girls — seventh graders Ivy Ball, Olivia Haft, Sarina Thomas, Norah LeCloux, eighth grader Sydney Sawyer, and sisters Ella and Sophia Ricci — were smitten with a very sweet Boston Terrier mix named Bella who was more than happy to receive belly rubs and pose for a photo shoot in the play area. They also had fun with Trooper and Pippin.

Eighth grader Cameron Cook and a handsome Plott Hound named Marcus bonded instantly.  Even though Marcus is expected to be adopted by a new family fairly soon, if something changes, it’s quite possible Cameron will be pushing for a new playmate for their very large Great Pyrenees/Lab mix.

Thank you to Dan and Mikey & Me for continuing to welcome our volunteers. And a special thanks to Kate Lewit and Forsythe parent Alison LeCloux for co-hosting the event for Anna’s Kindness.
