Anna’s Kindness softball field project

Anna passed away a week before she could play for her middle school softball team. We plan to renovate her middle school field in her memory, providing other children the opportunity to play on a quality field. Our hope is they’ll grow to love the game as much as Anna.

Our project will replace the broken backstop and old benches at the Forsythe Middle School girls softball field, where Anna would have played. We plan to add protective fencing down both baselines, dugout fencing, a set of bleachers, and a cement foundation. In short, we hope to make this one of the finest middle school ballfields in the city.

We hope you’ll consider supporting this softball field renovation project in memory of Anna. Anna’s Kindness is a 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax deductible.

Anna & Softball

Anna first played softball when she was 7 (pictured), but it was when she turned 10 that she really blossomed into a talented player. As an 11-year-old, she played travel softball for an older 12-year-old team in South Dakota, and when she and her family moved, she was selected to play for one of the better travel teams in southeastern Michigan.

Anna and her family were looking forward to playing for her middle school softball team, but she became ill and passed away April 5, a week before the middle school season began.

This field project will serve as a lasting tribute to her love of the game, and her service to others.
